About Lakeville UMC:
History…
Lakeville United Methodist Church has a rich history. Lakeville UMC was originally founded in 1850. In July of 2024, Lakeville UMC was closed due to exigent circumstances. However, through the power of the Holy Spirit, this closure turned into a new beginning!
In August 2024, Lakeville UMC embarked on a new journey with the pastoral leadership of the Reverend Rebecca L. Holland, M.Div. as a church restart and as a Lighthouse Congregation in the Susquehanna Conference. Serving alongside Rev. Rebecca L. Holland is her husband, Pastor Jeff Holland, who is acting as the representative of the Susquehanna Conference trustees.
What we believe…
As a fully inclusive congregation, Lakeville UMC is a place where EVERYONE is welcome. We believe that all people are created in God’s image and deserving of love, dignity, and respect. We joyfully welcome same-sex couples, and Rev. Rebecca is honored to officiate same-sex weddings.
Rev. Rebecca’s husband, Pastor Jeff Holland, has been assigned to serve at Lakeville by the Susquehanna Conference trustees. Together, they bring energy, creativity, and a shared commitment to reimagining our church’s mission and ministry.
At Lakeville UMC, we strive to be a community where God’s love is experienced by all. Come and see what God is doing here—you belong!
Our Mission Statement:
Leading with love!
